Decadent Choc Caramel Collagen Slice

Take your tastebuds to heaven with our decadent, healthy caramel slice recipe. Not only is it healthy, but we've added a touch of beauty to this delicious treat. These Caramel Collagen Slices are the perfect weekend treat without the guilt!
Packed with ingredients that are great for you like coconut oil and raw cacao powder PLUS they're dairy and lactose FREE.
INGREDIENTS
Base:
1 1/2 cup almond meal
1/2 cup tapioca flour
1/4 cup coconut oil (melted)
2 tbsp sugar free maple syrup
Caramel Filling:
1/2 cup coconut oil (melted)
3/4 cup coconut milk
6 scoops Unflavoured Premium Collagen Peptides
1 1/2 cup pitted dates
1/2 tsp himalayan salt
1 tbsp raw cacao powder
Chocolate Top:
1/4 cup coconut oil
1/4 cup raw cacao
2 tbsp sugar free maple syrup
METHOD
- Preheat oven to 180°C and line a 20cm square tin with baking paper.
- Combine almond meal and tapioca flour in a large bowl. Add coconut oil and maple syrup, and mix until well combined.
- Press the mixture in your square tin and bake for 15 minutes and set aside.
- Using the food processor, place all the caramel filling ingredients and blend until completely smooth.
- Pour mixture over the top of the base and place tin in the freezer.
- Add coconut oil and maple syrup into a small pot over low heat until coconut oil is melted and whisk in raw cacao powder.
- Take tin out of the freezer and flatten filling surface as best as you can before pouring over chocolate mixture. Then cover with chocolate and place in the freezer for 20 minutes prior to serving.
